Goal: get from the start film to the target film using the smallest number of actor links.
Each link: pick an actor who is in your current film, then pick one of the other films that actor is in. That film becomes your new position. Keep going until you land on the target.
Example: The Godfather → Al Pacino → Once Upon a Time in Hollywood → Tim Roth → Pulp Fiction. (2 links.)
